Two members of the Ottawa Newspaper
Guild are winning global kudos for a multimedia feature
entitled Superman
at 70.
Ottawa Citizen reporter Vito
Pilieci and web designer Andrea Sirman produced the
feature (a rich multimedia history of the Man of
Steel, from comic book to big screen) that has positioned
the newspaper as one of four finalists for an Online
Journalism Award, sponsored by the Online News Association
(ONA) in partnership with the University of Southern
California's Annenberg School of Communication.
The
winner is to be named at the ONA's conference and
awards banquet in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 13.
