In a memorandum circulated yesterday to all Locals, the committee says that, if an election is necessary, it will coincide with TNG/CWA elections. As decided at the fall Representative Council meeting in Halifax, election dates are to be set at the TNG Sector Conference which opens Feb. 28 in Providence, Rhode Island.

The committee, composed of Debbie Cole, Ray Rudersdorfer and Jack Wilson, says it expects to issue the nominations call in early March. If either CWA Canada leadership position is contested, all members of the union are eligible to vote.

CWA Canada's present Director is Arnold Amber; Martin O'Hanlon is the Deputy Director. Effective Jan. 1, 2007, when the Canadian region of CWA officially came into being, the Director position became a full-time, salaried job.
