Nominations sought for Canada East VP

The Newspaper Guild-CWA has issued a call for nominations to fill the recently vacated position of Canada East Vice-President.

Candidates to succeed Jan Ravensbergen, who resigned the post at the end of March, will be nominated at the TNG-CWA Sector Conference in Las Vegas this July. Should more than one candidate be nominated, the successor would be determined by secret ballot. All members of TNG Canada East (those east of the Ontario-Manitoba border) would be eligible to vote in the election.

The Eastern VP, Western VP and the Director of TNG Canada, are the three Canadian officers who sit on the Sector Executive Council of TNG-CWA, and help make decisions that affect its 34,000 members.
