Examiner subscriber prefers personal touch
I have been hearing rumours that the Peterborough
Examiner and the Osprey Group are thinking about
using call centres. If this happens I will cancel my subscription
immediately.
There is nothing worse than talking to someone on the phone
who you can't understand and who doesn't even live in your
area. It is very confusing for elderly people to talk to
machines. This will be worse if they have to try and explain
to someone on a 1-800 number what their problem is.
There is another option in this town for a newspaper. I
would hate to think that a paper that has been in this
city for so many years would resort to using call centres.
I urge you to reconsider. Peterborough people need the jobs
and we need to preserve something as great as the personal
touch, when dealing with the public.
