CWA Canada President Martin O'Hanlon, who is also a spokesman for the Trade Justice Network, addressed a crowd of activists gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, where trade ministers are in a round of final negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The TJN is urging Canada to not sign the 'deeply flawed' deal because it is bad for the country and democracy.

Celebrating gains
made by Labour

Canadians across the country marched in Labour Day parades on Monday to celebrate the benefits unions have brought to all workers (including long weekends!). Thousands turned out in Toronto, where CWA Canada President Martin O'Hanlon (centre) joined members who belong to the Canadian Media Guild, which took the opportunity to spread the word about its campaign to Champion Public Broadcasting. The future of the CBC hinges on the outcome of the Oct. 19 election.
