Environmental journalism scholarship
in memory of Dennis Bueckert

The Canadian Media Guild lost a longtime
member and friend this summer. Dennis Bueckert, environment
and health reporter for The Canadian Press, died in
August under tragic circumstances.
In recognition of his dedication
to reporting on the environment, The Dennis Bueckert
Memorial Scholarship in Environmental Journalism is
being established. It will be awarded annually to a
student with a strong interest in the environment proceeding
from third to fourth year in the Bachelor of Journalism
program at Carleton University.
Preference will be given to a student entering the
Science and Medical Journalism specialization.
