How to Better Run Your Local Cancelled

Schools are run in conjunction with the National Representative Council Meeting. For those members attending the meeting, CWA|SCA Canada covers two nights of hotel accommodation and meal expenses for two days. For those members not attending the weekend meeting, CWA|SCA Canada pays for travel to and from home, in addition to hotel and meals.
CWA|SCA Canada does not reimburse for lost wages.

Two-day course is designed to help members of an executive more efficently run a small Local. Space is limited and registrants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

How to Better Run Your Local

At least one officer, particularly any who are newly elected, should attend this two-day school. Subjects to be covered include:

• What key officers in a Local do;
• Responsibilities of officers;
• How to keep track of your financial responsibility;
• Preparing a Local budget;
• Local union committees;
• Background and structure of the CWA and CWA Canada.
